Instructions were clear and we had plenty of paints and equipment. We all ended up with a painting that we were pleased with and had a really enjoyable experience

The concept of this painting class is absolutely brilliant. I have no artistic skills and I was a bit worried about the final result I would be able to produce. But thanks to the step by step instructions, the friendliness of the teacher, the very relaxed and lovely atmosphere, it all led to a beautiful painting. Absolutely incredible host, wonderful evening the only reason for the 3 stars is the function room was so dark, this was the first time ‘paint and sip’ had hosted at this venue so it was out of their control but it was such poor lighting! But I believe if they were to host again they would most likely help provide spot lights to accommodate this. Amazing host (Kirsty) thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Our talented instructor will guide you step-by-step to capture the essence of your beloved pet on canvas. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this session is designed for everyone to have a doggone good time.

As much as we love your pets, we recommend leaving them at home for this event. This way, you can focus on creating their portrait without any distractions (or the potential chaos of 20+ pets in one room!). 🐾

We have previously attended the sunflower painting workshop, where I was surprised that it actually turned out looking like a sunflower. But painting your pet sounded pretty difficult in comparison but we decided to give it a go. The step by step instructions were great, lots of tips and tricks and the end result was a paint, done by me that actually looked like my dog! I couldn’t believe it. I would like to take all the credit but it was really Kirsty with her patience, chilled was of teaching and amazing skills. Thank you!

FABULOUS TEACHER! This was my first time using acrylics and I LOVED IT! I’m so thrilled with the end result - not my pet as I don’t have one but my leopard I met in Kruger South Africa in the summer. The venue could have been a tad quieter and more relaxing but I appreciate venues are hard to come by. More daytime workshops would be wonderful as I come over from Gosport so evening ones are not ideal.

I was very disappointed with the ‘’ Colourful Eye’’ event I attended, the instructor giving the class showed a lack of engagement with the group and was at one point quite  dismissive to a participants question about how they should approach doing a particular part of the painting. 
She gave no instruction in the technique of using the brushes or paints and failed to inject a sense of fun to the evening. 
I was looking forward to doing more events but given my disappointment I won’t be making any more bookings with

I would highly recommend this - I went with a group of friends and painted ‘the eye’. We all had such a brilliant time, the painter and the assistant were so lovely and helpful and it was in such a great location with all the staff really happy to help.
Our group had a range of people that had painted before and those that didn’t have a clue and we all came out with some great artwork. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we all said we want to do it again - highly recommended.

I really enjoy Paint and Chill evenings, and have had previous great experience, but for me you crammed too many people around the table, making it difficult and uncomfortable. 
You have difficulty doing the ‘sip’ part of paint and sip as nowhere to put your drink, & this latest event we were all literally shoulder to shoulder, giving no space at all 

It’s a shame as I enjoyed the ‘eye’ painting. 

I will probably not be returning to an event at this venue for that reason.
